Since 2013 we have worked hard to provide as many full-time and sustainable job opportunities as possible in The Gambia and West Africa...Whilst making ridiculously colourful African streetwear of course!

OUR STORIES

The great news is we have succeeded on both fronts! Our unique brand of African clothing is second to none; And we have created over 40 full-time jobs for the local community! Meet them, and learn some of their stories here.

Without this guy, Continent Clothing could not exist. His development over the last 8 years has been amazing and has grown into an excellent manager!

Meet Hamed

Hamed is our top tailor! Since 2014 he has been producing some of our most popular collections in his Sukuta studio. His attention to detail and experimentation makes it a pleasure to work with him. 

His skills were obvious to see right from the begining, so we appointed him head of our development program. He now helps train new tailors in our team to help provide the support they need to succeed with Continent Clothing

Mamadou is a simple guy from the village of Sukuta. He comes, he grabs the fabric, then a few days later turns up with increbile patchwork and colourful head wraps!

Aida can make anything your give her! Shes an incredibly skilled seamstress and makes all our waistcoats. Keep watching this year and youll see some beautiufl African suits.

Allagi loves working with the best and most colourful prints! When we brought him his fabrics for the African Spirit collection, he went wild with excitement.

We Are A Brand With A Purpose!

Meet Fatou & Cherno

This dynamic duo based in the famous Senegambia craft market are two of the smiliest people we have ever met! 

Fatou is the buisness woman, searching for new and noteworthy products to sell out of her shop and always has an amazing array of fabrics and styles to choose from.

Cherno is a tailor... through and trhoigh. Since he was a child he has worked on the machines in his town of Brikama, and has never looked back since. His patchwork making skills are amazing, always choosing the right colour combos, and expertly crafting the sheets.

Hamed has been working with us for 3 years now. In that time the African shirts he has made have been worn across the world! He loves that his work has gone GLOBAL!

Sarjo and Hamed are best friends. They work out of the same shop in Sukuta, Gambia, and together they are responsible for all the awesome African suits we have. Sarjo has been creating the comfy trousers now for over 4 years!

Ousman was one of our first tailors. He has been working with us for 8 years, and his development has been increible to watch. Since working with us he has become pretty much financially independant, successfully building his family compound over the last couple of years.
